There are branches and fallen leaves everywhere, garbage cans dumped on the roadside, large pieces of fallen insulation and windows falling from high places.
That afternoon, after a violent storm swept through Tongzhou, the Nanli and Beili communities of Tongzhou secondary canal were seriously damaged, and the balcony windows of many households were blown off.
After the incident, a long warning line has been set up on the green space downstairs. Through the pictures, we can find that the plastic steel windows, window frames and some insulation layers on the outer wall of the building are still hanging upstairs, shaky and very dangerous.
According to a number of residents in a community, a rainstorm that began around 3 or 4 p.m. on July 2 caused serious damage in the community. In addition to the falling windows, some cars parked downstairs were also hit by falling debris, a large number of trees were broken and even toppled, and the red insulation layer on the facade of many floors was also blown down by the strong wind.
At 7:30 p.m. on July 2, many residents still stood downstairs in Ciqu Beili community. The reporter of Beijing Evening News roughly counted that the floors whose windows were blown off were located on the 14th, 3rd and 11th floors of the community.
Residents of the community said that although the rainfall in the afternoon did not last long, it came fiercely. Under the strong wind and rain, even if the windows of many families were OK, there was a lot of water in the house because the windows could not be closed. The reporter was told that a large number of windows in the residential area had been blown down for the first time, but it was not the first time.
According to the property staff, up to now, the staff are still counting the damage with the building manager and the door chief. There is no report of casualties caused by falling windows.
